The Rhino - Just a Memory? (Documentary film 2019) with English Subtitles

Image
I decided to used subtitles on a second film for the Deaf people. My audience was only adults. The footage is extremely graphic and may offend sensitive viewers. Rhinos have been around for millions of years, but it is unlikely that they will survive this century as they are routinely killed for their valuable horns. When I saw a picture of a slaughtered rhino on Facebook, I became interested in their plight. This documentary about the rhino's plight worldwide looks at a possible solution: a private rhino farm in South Africa with an exciting approach to the problem. Shot on location in South Africa, this film is about the war on poachers and what can be done to prevent it.  Credits Director and Producer - Stephanus Pretorius  Director of Photography - Stephanus Pretorius  Sound Recordist - Stephanus Pretorius  2nd Cinematographer - Sarel Snyman  Narrator - Lourina West  Logistics - Chris Bester  Interviewer and Interpreter - Adrie Pretorius and Ivy Scaife  Sponsored by Dr. Kieran

My Portrait film - All About Anton 2018

Image
I worked on my coursework for a portrait film from Anglia Ruskin University. I planned my idea. I chose one student for Anton Wright. Anton Wright is an adventurer, coach, presenter and speaker. I interviewed Anton as he is a good friend and a great character. He told me his life story. He was born in Macclesfield in South Manchester but moved around a lot as a child. He studies film and TV Production (at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge). His first filmmaking experience was when he did the Amazon adventure with his good friend Mark de Rond. They were the first people to row the length of the Amazon River. It was a long journey, and they used action cameras to document it. Anton would like to film documentaries, as he loves to tell stories. Stella is his girlfriend, and they met at the banks of the river over five years ago. My Life Begins in the Filmmaking

Image
I began a course for MA in Film and Television Production in 2017. I was investigating and researching the different cameras to understand cinematography better. I learnt with other Adobe software such as Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. I practised and worked very hard. I first learnt with a JVC camera from Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge.
